Marian Suzhou Adds Class 10K Clean Room Space as Growth Continues
Continuing the announcements about the rapid growth Marian is experiencing, we move our focus across the globe to Marian Suzhou in Asia. This is one of two production facilities in Suzhou (also see our newest location Marian Converting Co. Ltd.).
In 2004, Marian opened its doors for business in Suzhou, China with a manufacturing center in the Suchun Industrial Square to serve many customers who had also opened manufacturing plants in China.
Since opening, Marian Suzhou has been growing and expanding every year. They have leased 8 buildings and over 50,000 m2 of space in Suchun Industrial Square.
Cleanroom Space to Meet Cosmetic and Cleanliness Requirements
Most recently, in July 2022, the facility added a new 1,800 m2 class 10K cleanroom, including 580 m2 of class 1K space.
This space was added to meet tighter cosmetic and cleanliness requirements of functional die-cut products.
In addition to the cleanliness enhancements, in-line camera monitoring has been added to each die cut line for fast quality feedback. Parts are inspected through automated optical inspection equipment for cosmetic and key dimension inspection.
Marian Suzhou continues to invest into its business to meet and exceed the demands of the markets they serve, which include consumer electronics, automotive, displays, battery and EV, eMobility, and more.
Sustainability and Quality
On the same note, quality and sustainability are also very important initiatives to Marian Suzhou. In 2020, they installed 1,804 solar panels on their building. This was an important step towards the company’s sustainability initiatives. (Read this solar panel article here)
