Marian Indianapolis Passes ISO 14001 Stage 1 Audit

Marian Indianapolis is working to achieve ISO 14001:2004 certification. Marian Indianapolis passed an important milestone this week in passing the ISO 14001 stage 1 audit.

ISO 14001:2004 sets out the criteria for an environmental management system and certification. It does not state requirements for environmental performance but maps out a framework that a company or organization can follow to set up an effective environmental management system. Part of our corporate culture and quality policy is to continuously improve. This includes implementing an environmental management system so that we can achieve the following:

  • Reduce our environmental impact
  • Ensure our operations are safe for employees and the environment
  • Ensure our performance meets legal and other requirements
  • Satisfy our customers

The stage 2 audit is scheduled for September 2014.
