Marian Fort Worth Makes A Difference
Marian Fort Worth employees deserve a spotlight on them as they continue to play a positive role in their community.
Last month, employees had the opportunity to support Charles E. Nash Elementary for the 9th year in a row by providing students with school supplies. Unfortunately, 82% of students are considered to be economically disadvantaged. Marian Fort Worth matched each dollar that was donated by employees for a total of $1,100. Some employees chose to have a payroll deduction to support this cause, while others brought in their own supplies that they purchased themselves.
Marian Fort Worth also participated in “Great America Cowtown,” where employees and their loved ones picked up trash and recyclable items around their work area. Together, they collected 11 bags of trash and 1 bag of recyclable items.
In another community event, employees also collected 626 pounds of food for the Tarrant Area Food Bank. This organization is a private nonprofit that serves individuals including abuse victims, children, the elderly, the chronically ill, the unemployed, the working poor, and the homeless. Check out what 626 pounds of food looks like- they filled the bed of a Toyota Tundra PLUS the back seat!
A well deserving “fun day” was then celebrated by Marian Fort Worth employees, which was filled with tons of fellowship! Employees took a half day off of work to enjoy a lunch buffet, bowling, shuffle board, pool, and other games. Part of what makes Marian a great place to work is that warm family-like culture. Having this time to build relationships and bond with co-workers enriches that and makes us a more productive company.
Thank you to Marian Fort Worth for making a difference in your community!
